Talking about RSI PDF Afdrukken

How do you cope with the pain? What therapies/strategies help? How does your RSI affects your friends and family? When can you return to work? Many RSI sufferers benefit from discussing such topics with others who have been through, or are going through, the same. The Dutch RSI Association facilitates this in the following ways:

Drop-in meetings
The RSI helpline
Dutch e-mail forum

Drop-in meetings
Are you considering a particular therapy and you'd like to hear someone else's experience? Would you like to know more about the WAO (incapacity benefit) examination procedure? Do you need to laugh about the characteristic and recognisable RSI experiences of other members? Come along to an informal drop-in meeting. These gatherings have an informative character and a very positive approach. They are organised throughout the Netherlands (in Dutch) and there are even regular English-speaking gatherings in Amsterdam. If you require more information or you'd like to attend a meeting contact our admin. office: 033-24 71 043 (every workday from 9am-5pm). For the English meetings in Amsterdam contact: Dit e-mail adres is beschermd door spambots, u heeft Javascript nodig om dit onderdeel te kunnen bekijken .

The RSI helpline
Do you have questions about RSI treatments, examinations, or legal matters? Or do you want to exchange information or tips, or just talk to someone who will understand? Call the RSI helpline: 0900 7745456 (0.01 euro/minute). Our experienced staff are happy to take your call. You can reach us Mon-Thurs 1pm-3pm and 7pm-9pm. The RSI helpline is for RSI sufferers and their partners, family and friends.

Dutch E-mail forum
Do you have tips or experiences you want to pass on to others? Are you looking for a good therapist? Or do you want to discuss an experience you just have been through? You could exchange thoughts by email. After subscription you receive emails from other members about various RSI related subjects. If you reply to a message it goes automatically to all members of the group. Subscribing and unsubscribing is easy. Membership is free. Everyone can join in. You should note that most mailing lists are public and everybody can access and read them. Typing can be difficult for RSI sufferers, so keep your email brief, use abbreviations and lower case, and don't worry about typos.
Our e-mail forum is in Dutch, but if you have a specific question regarding RSI in the Netherlands you could always post it in English and someone will probably be able to help you.
